WHAT IS SBC? / THE BUSINESS PLATFORM

    Your business services.
    One place to begin.

The Business Platform brings government services for starting and running a business into one place. Commonly known as the Saudi Business Center (SBC) platform, it connects investors and businesses with the relevant services and authorities.

Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center · services with the Ministry of Commerce and other government partners.

    WHO IS IT FOR?

    The people behind the business.

For new and existing businesses—not only foreign investors and not only company founders.

    Founders & investors

Saudi, GCC and foreign investors preparing to establish a business. The appropriate service depends on ownership, legal form and activity.

    Business owners & managers

People responsible for keeping an existing business’s registered details and required annual confirmations current.

    Authorised representatives

People acting for a particular business within the authority granted to them. Being able to sign in is not permission to act for every company.

    WHAT IS IT FOR?

Start it. Maintain it. Make changes.

Common Ministry of Commerce services are grouped below. The Business Platform also connects other government services; this is an introduction, not its complete catalogue.

    START A BUSINESS

From idea to a business record

    Reserve a trade name

Request the business name before issuing the Commercial Registration. Reserving a name does not establish the company or register a trademark.

    Establish the company

Enter the partners, business, management and constitutional details required by the selected incorporation service.

    MAINTAIN THE RECORD

    Keep the official information current

    Confirm CR data annually

Use the annual-confirmation service for the legal form of your business. This is not fixed-term CR renewal.

    Check ownership disclosures

Company formation and annual confirmation can involve beneficial-owner information. Follow the current disclosure requirements for your company.

    MAKE A CHANGE

Update the company as it evolves

    Update the business record

Keep activities, address, contact details and management information aligned with the actual business through the applicable service.

    Amend company documents

Use the appropriate service to amend the Articles of Association or bylaws—the documents that set out the company’s ownership and management. Partner approvals may be required.

    What is a CR?

The Commercial Registration is the official business register entry. It is not the same as permission to carry out every regulated activity.

    What are company documents?

The Articles of Association or bylaws describe how the company is owned and managed. Some changes need an amendment to these documents, not just an edit to contact details.

    ACCESS

Your login. Your authority. Your service.

Signing in identifies you. The selected service determines which business you can act for and whose approval is needed.

    1. Open the official Business Platform

Start at business.sa. Read the service description and choose the correct business type before applying.

    2. Use the offered sign-in route

The public sign-in page offers National Unified Access for Saudi citizens and residents, and an investor-account route for people without a Saudi National ID or Iqama.

    3. Check your authority to act

Choose the correct business and service. Confirm the required permissions and approvals; a user account is separate from company registration.

Follow the current service instructions. Keep passwords, one-time codes and Nafath approvals under the account holder’s control. No sign-in or application is connected to this DuVolks page.

    PREPARE FOR THE SERVICE

    Company information,
    not just login details.

These are preparation groups for the transaction. The service’s current checklist determines the documents and approvals required.

    For company formation

    • The intended legal form, ownership and activities.
    • Partners, management and constitutional details requested by the service.
    • Investment registration or sector approval where applicable.

    For an existing business

    • The company or establishment record and the exact transaction.
    • Current information requested for the annual confirmation or amendment.
    • Required authority and beneficial-owner information where applicable.

Beneficial owner means the person who ultimately owns or controls the business. Confirm the applicable disclosure rules; do not assume the person using the portal is the beneficial owner.

    COSTS

Know what the charge actually covers.

Separate platform access, the selected transaction and any government liability or professional work. A free e-service does not make the whole task free.

LLC formation · published service example

    SAR 1,200 + SAR 500

LLC service example: SAR 1,200 Commercial Registration plus SAR 500 publication, with 15% VAT listed by the Ministry. Not an all-in setup quote or a universal price for every ownership route.

    Sole-proprietorship annual confirmation · example

    SAR 500

The Ministry's specific service card lists this fee. Company legal forms have their own applicable charges.

    Other transactions

    Check the service card

Amendments, formation and annual confirmation are separate transactions. Confirm the full payable amount before payment.

    • Choose the service for your legal entity. An active CR does not replace activity licences or other operating permissions. Confirm current charges and requirements in the official application.
